Jamie Oliver Uses Seaweed to Help Him Lose Weight

Fat-busting seaweed
Britain's favourite TV chef, Jamie Oliver, has attributed his recent weight loss to seaweed.
In an article in the Daily Mail, the dapper chef explains how in order to get back in shape he included "the most nutritious vegetable in the world" in his diet.
Seaweed is the most mineralised vegetable on Earth, containing all 56 vitamins and minerals needed for good health. Seaweed is also high in dietary fibre and alginates, which provides a bulking agent. This can contribute to weight loss by helping you feel fuller for longer and reducing snacking.

"Like dynamite - unbelievable"
In the article, Jamie explains,
"I thought seaweed was hippy, globetrotting stuff but our ancestors ate seaweed. It’s got a load of iodine and it’s the most nutritious vegetable in the world. I’m saying lose it in a minestrone because that stuff is really, really good for you. It’s like dynamite – fibre, nutrients, all the minerals, aids digestion – unbelievable."
