Mara Maid Day Out

Back to basics
The Mara Maids were out on the beach harvesting yesterday morning, in order to take advantage of the glorious weather and this year's amazing crop of pepper dulse.
It was beautifully quiet in our little alcove of rocks on the beach and the sea was gently lapping at our feet. The spring tide slowly pulled out to reveal beautiful seaweed varieties and lots of little creatures living in between the rocks. We arrived back at the office completely serene!
The picture below shows a dark red-brown pepper dulse specimen at full growth. We call it the 'Truffle of the Sea,' because it tastes like peppery garlic and is absolutely delicious!
