When harvesting time is in fill swing, Mara needs a reliable and hard working team of seaweed harvesters. The work follows the big tides which occur at a new and full moon – generally for 8 days consecutive days.

The way you pick depends on the species of seaweed: from nimble-handed scissor snipping along the rocks, to wading through the shallows wielding a knife! (Carefully.) Payment is per wet kilo of seaweed, and prices vary with species. A good harvester can make £40 in a four hour tide.
